Secure Square connection and checkout
- Connect a Square merchant through OAuth or use a controlled manual access-token fallback.
- Refresh OAuth access automatically when tokens approach expiration.
- Tokenize card details with the Square Web Payments SDK so raw card data is never stored by WordPress.
- Offer Apple Pay and Google Pay when Square, the shopper, browser, device, region, and domain are eligible.
- Use Sandbox for testing and Production for live payments.
Webhooks, reconciliation, and refunds
- Validate Square webhook signatures before processing payment or refund events.
- Reconcile payment.created, payment.updated, refund.created, and refund.updated events with WooCommerce orders.
- Review the HomePro Square transaction panel on supported WooCommerce orders.
- Manually synchronize a transaction from Square when support or auditing requires it.
- Process full and partial WooCommerce refunds through Square.
Compatibility and diagnostics
- Supports WooCommerce classic checkout and Checkout Block.
- Declares compatibility with WooCommerce High Performance Order Storage.
- Includes responsive HomePro checkout styling and mobile card-field sizing protection.
- Includes a Test Square Connection workflow, safe last-payment diagnostics, and detailed WooCommerce logging without exposing secrets.
Important: A Square merchant account, Square developer application, HTTPS, Application ID, Application Secret, Location ID, OAuth redirect URL, and webhook signature key are configured separately. Apple Pay domain eligibility is controlled by Square and Apple.
